What time does a juror have to arrive?

Jurors must be in the Jury Assembly Room on the 1st Floor of the Macomb County Circuit Court Building, 40 North Main, Mount Clemens between 8:15 and 8:30 a.m.

How long does jury duty last?

A typical day is 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. with lunch from noon-1:30 p.m. and two 15 minute breaks. Jury Duty is one day or one trial, if you are selected to serve.

Are jurors allowed to bring cell phones, pagers and laptop computers?

You are welcome to bring your cell phone, a laptop, or other electronics to quietly occupy your time. Earbuds or headphones are encouraged.  As an added service, Wireless Internet Service is available. Lockers are also available (25 cents fee) for personal belongings. If you are selected as a juror on a court case, cell phones and pagers must be shut off before entering the courtroom.

Can jurors bring food for lunch?

Yes, you can bring your own food. There is a cafeteria located in the Court Building where jurors can get items for breaks and lunch.
