Welcome to Macomb County

In response to increased traffic incidents and adverse driver behaviors such as speeding and distracted driving, MCDR is developing a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, known as Safe Streets for Macomb County, with the goal of reducing the number of incidents and preventing fatalities and serious injuries on Macomb County roadways.

Macomb County Animal Control hosts onsite adoptions during regular business hours. We house a wide variety of adoptable pets seeking loving forever homes.

The Office of Senior Services annually hosts the Senior Fun Festival, Macomb County's largest senior expo. This is a wonderful event for older adults and caregivers to learn more about resources and service.

Macomb County is advancing criminal justice by building a new central intake and assessment center focused addressing issues correctional institutions are seeing across the country, particularly with mental health and substance use.
