About OneMacomb

Purpose, vision, mission and priorities

In 2012, The New Macomb County Report emerged out of a discussion between the Macomb County Executive Office, Macomb Community College and Data Driven Detroit. This report highlighted profound shifts in the community’s demographics, which indicated a need to be proactive and take action. County Executive Mark Hackel and team therefore created the OneMacomb initiative as a priority for Macomb County.

OneMacomb’s three pillars

  1. Promote multiculturalism and inclusion through arts and community affairs.
  2. Strengthen Macomb County’s economy by building connections throughout the county, region and world.
  3. Identify and implement multicultural best practices on delivering services to the residents of Macomb County.
