Through a partnership with Macomb Community Action (MCA), Veterans Services provides veteran to the Detroit VAMC for morning appointments only. Veterans will be picked up at their home. Veterans who use wheelchairs can be accommodated but must be able to get to the curb. Drivers cannot come into the residence to assist veterans to the van. First time riders must sign a Hold Harmless agreement that will be kept with the driver.
A transportation request must be received by the office at least 48 hours beforehand, or five days in advance for veterans using wheelchairs. As of now, the office is only able to transport Veterans to the Detroit VAMC. Please call our office at 586-469-5315 for more information or to schedule a ride.
