Community Corrections

Funding

Funding information for Community Corrections.

Community Corrections receives state funding through the Michigan Department of Corrections-Office of Community Corrections, local County funds and grants awarded through the Bureau of Justice Assistance to provide programming. Through this funding, programs are developed for offenders who would be more appropriately supervised in the community than incarcerated and for those with identified needs for substance use or mental health treatment as an alternative to a jail or prison term.
