Why donate?
Senior Services is primarily funded by the Older American Act
Funding is through the Area Agency on Aging 1-B and Michigan Department of Health and Human Services
- Grant funds do not cover the full cost of the program
- Program is required to request a donation from participants but cannot deny service if they do not contribute
- Community donations help fill the gap when participants are unable to contribute
Donations can also help:
- Support programs with wait lists
- Expand service delivery (more people and types of assistance)
- Develop new services for unmet needs (innovation)
