School emergency drill reporting
Public Act 12 of 2014 requires all schools in the State of Michigan to conduct school safety drills. These drills must be conducted in conjunction with a local emergency management office.

Public Act 12 of 2014 only allows for a drill date to be changed when a scheduled drill could not occur due to conditions not within the control of school authorities such as severe storms, fires, epidemics, utility power unavailability, water or sewer failure, or a health condition as defined by the County or state health authorities. In this situation, the drill must be rescheduled to occur within 10 school days after the original scheduled date of the cancelled drill. The chief administrator of the district must notify the Macomb County Emergency Management coordinator of the rescheduled drill date. Any changes that need to be made after the closing date of the reporting form will be made utilizing the school drill schedule change notification form.
