Mount Clemens, MI -  On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, a Mount Clemens man was arraigned in connection with allegedly possessing child sexually abusive materials.

It is alleged that on February 6, 2024, Micah Carson, age 30, had sexually abusive photos and videos on his phone.  Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of the Internet Crime Unit Assistant Prosecutor Patrick Sierawski authorized charges against Carson after an investigation by the Macomb County Sheriff’s Enforcement Team.

Carson is being charged with three counts of Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material (10 year felonies) and three counts of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime (10 year felonies).

Carson was arraigned in 41B Clinton Township District Court where Magistrate Ryan Zemke set bond at $100,000 cash/surety.  A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 8:30am by District Court Judge Sebastian Lucido.

“The possession of child pornography not only perpetuates the exploitation and abuse of innocent children but also demonstrates a flagrant disregard for the law and the wellbeing of our society. We will vigorously pursue justice for the victims and ensure that those who engage in such behavior are held accountable," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office represents the people.  We are committed to achieving justice and following the laws of the State of Michigan. All that are accused of a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
