Man Arraigned for Alleged Criminal Sexual Conduct in Bathroom of Warren Home Depot

Mount Clemens, MI -  Today, a 22-year-old Warren man was arraigned in connection with an incident in a Warren Home Depot bathroom.

It is alleged that on Sunday, April 14, 2024, Elijah Lawrence was in the women’s bathroom of Home Depot when two young girls entered.  Lawrence allegedly touched one of the girls and fled the scene. 

Lawrence was charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Second Degree (15 year felony), Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material (four year felony), two counts of Larceny Less Than $200 (93-day misdemeanor).  He is also being charged as a habitual second offender.

Lawrence was arraigned today in 37th Warren District Court where District Court Judge Suzanne Faunce set bond at $250,000 cash/surety.  Upon release, Lawrence must wear a GPS tether, have no contact with any victims, children under 18 or Home Depot.  A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 8:45am.  

"There is no greater betrayal than preying on the innocence of a child. We must remain vigilant in our commitment to protect our children from predators looking to do harm," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
