66 Year Old Man Guilty on All Counts in Criminal Sexual Conduct Case

Macomb County jury convicted 66-year-old Dennis Peterson Sr. in two cases.

Mount Clemens, MI - Yesterday, a Macomb County jury convicted 66-year-old Dennis Peterson Sr. in two cases that were combined into one trial by Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie Stager.

Peterson was charged and found guilty of the following charges in the first case:

  • First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a victim under 13 years old and the defendant over 17 years old (life felony)
  • First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a victim under 13 years old and the defendant over 17 years old (life felony)
  • First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a victim under 13 years old and the defendant over 17 years old (life felony)
  • Second Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a victim under 13 years old and the defendant over 17 years old (15 year felony)

Peterson was charged and found guilty of the following charges for the second case.

  • First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a victim under 13 years old and the defendant over 17 years old (life felony)
  • First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct where defendant is related to the victim (life felony)
  • First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct where defendant is related to the victim (life felony)

The defendant is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years in prison. A Sentencing Hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 29, 2024 at 8:30am at the Macomb County Circuit Court by Visiting Judge Antonio Viviano.
