Mount Clemens, MI -  Today, a 15-year-old juvenile was denied bond in connection with allegedly making a bomb threat at Center Line High School.

It is alleged that on Thursday, February 8, 2024 a 15-year-old boy wrote a bomb threat note that was found by a teacher.  The school was evacuated, and searched but no bomb was found.  He was charged with False Report of a Threat of Terrorism (20 year felony).

Today, Macomb County Chief Referee Linda Harrison denied bond based on the seriousness of the offense.  The juvenile will remain in the Juvenile Justice Center. He will also receive a mental health evaluation.  A Pre-Trial is scheduled for Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 9:30pm before Macomb County Referee Michael Gibbs.

“The gravity of this offense and its impact on campus security is serious. We will prosecute this reckless behavior to hold the juvenile accountable for his actions," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
