Spread the love in Macomb County this Valentine's Day

Valentine’s Day is approaching and this year, we want to show some love to our Macomb County businesses. So whether you plan to dine out, purchase some chocolates or buy a gift or experience the next few days, make sure you’re keeping it local. Here’s why that matters:

  1. Small businesses reinvest. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, when you spend $100 at a small business, $48 stays in the community. Spend the same $100 at a big-box store or national retailer and only $14 stays.
  2. Small businesses offer one-of-a-kind products and services and provide personalized customer service.
  3. Small businesses make our community vibrant and unique.

There are countless other reasons why shopping small is important, but the point of this piece is to help you find Macomb County restaurants and retailers where you can treat yourself or someone else this holiday. So let’s get to it!

We asked our Make Macomb Your Home social followers for local places they love, and here’s what they said:

Dining

Shopping

Sweet Treats and More

Of course, those are just suggestions posted on our Make Macomb Your Home social media, and we know there’s so much more out there for you to experience and enjoy this Valentine’s Day. So here are some other resources that can help you plan a special holiday:

That's all for now - but if we missed something, make sure to leave a comment to let us and others know! Now, on behalf of the Make Macomb Your Home team - Happy Valentine’s Day! Enjoy, indulge and spread love this month and beyond <3
