PCS Company, a plastic injection molding, mold-making and die-casting
company based in Fraser, has received a $25,000 Industry 4.0 grant with help from Macomb County Planning and Economic Development (MCPED).
PCS used the money to purchase automation software that integrates with its existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to more efficiently collect and analyze data. It will allow PCS to turn around quotes more timely and accurately.
The new quoting system will reduce the estimating process from an average of 2-3 hours to approximately 20-30 minutes.
PCS Company’s product categories include mold bases, mold components, molding supplies and solutions, hot runner systems, cutting tools and some of the latest advancements in additive manufacturing.
