NOXMAT finds new home after successful stay at the International Landing Zone

After a successful six-month stay at the Macomb County Department of Planning and Economic Development International Landing Zone, Germany-based NOXMAT GmbH Industrial Heating Technology has moved into its own home.

The International Landing Zone (ILZ) located inside Velocity in Sterling Heights, provided NOXMAT with six months of free, modern office space to help the company establish a foothold in the United States. NOXMAT was able to make use of other free services at the ILZ, such as business acceleration programs, consultation with legal and accounting firms, and one on one consulting by Macomb County economic development specialists.

The Velocity location is also within close proximity to suppliers as well as potential customers.

In the fall of 2023, NOXMAT moved into its new home on Mound Road in Sterling Heights. The 2,000 square-foot is considered to be a stepping to a larger facility as it continues to grow its customer base.

NOXMAT manufactures industrial burners, electrical heating elements, radiant tubes and customer-specific control cabinets as well as accessories for all aspects of heating technology for industrial thermoprocessing systems. Its products are sold in more than 35 countries worldwide and are used, among other things, in systems for the heat treatment of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

“We are very thankful to Macomb County Planning and Economic Development and the Velocity Center for helping us to make an easy transition to Michigan,” said CEO Matthias Wolf. “The ILZ has helped us gain a foothold in Macomb County and establish our first, stand alone facility. We hope to continue to grow in Macomb County.”
