Peter Lucido

Prior to being Prosecutor, Lucido served as a State Senator and State Representative in the State Legislature. He also served as a member of the Michigan Criminal Justice Policy Commission, Michigan Law Revision Commission, Michigan Commission on Uniform State Laws, and Michigan Elder Abuse Task Force.  Peter J. Lucido was also appointed to the National Conference of State Legislatures Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, and the Council of State Governments Midwest MLC Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee.

He earned a Juris Doctorate from Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University School of Law), a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration and Business from Oakland University, and an Associate’s Degree from Macomb Community College as well as graduated from De La Salle High School.

Prosecutor Lucido has practiced law for more than 35 years and was the founder, president, and managing partner of one of Macomb County’s largest law firms. He is the founder and publisher-emeritus of Macomb Now Magazine. Additionally, he is a licensed insurance agent, and realtor, and was formerly a licensed security register representative. 

Lucido is an activist in countless businesses, and philanthropic endeavors, including local Chambers of Commerce, Shelby Golden K Kiwanis, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Michigan Farm Bureau, Italian American Cultural Center, former member of the De La Salle Collegiate Board of Trustees, Oakland University President’s Council, and former board member and Ambassador member of both St. Joseph Mercy of Macomb and Henry Ford Hospitals. He is also an advisory board member of Families Against Narcotics.

He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Macomb County Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the Italian American Bar Association.

Prosecutor Lucido has been married for 34 years and has three adult children.
