Breakfast on the Farm

Get a first-hand look at modern food production and the farm families who work to produce a safe, wholesome food supply for Michigan communities.

Since 2009, more than 85,000 children and adults have attended Breakfast on the Farm. The program which is an MSU Extension event, is designed to showcase a selection of Michigan farms and to introduce the non‐farm public to modern agriculture. It's an educational opportunity for people of all ages that emphasizes the importance of environmental stewardship, food safety and good animal care.  Attendees are encouraged to ask questions about farming, the farming industry, and food production. Attendees also get a firsthand look at modern food production---tour the farm, see the animals, talk with the farmers and enjoy a good breakfast filled with Michigan-grown and Michigan-made products.
