Jury
Only residents of Chesterfield Township, Lenox Township, New Baltimore and New Haven can serve on a Jury at the 42-2 District Court.
Requests to be excused or rescheduled should be emailed to: 42-2districtcourttraffic@macombgov.org
All requests for excusal or to be rescheduled to another jury date must be made at least 10 working days before your Report Date. Jurors will not be excused without proper documentation submitted to the court. Please include your email or a phone number with your request and you will be notified if your request is granted, denied, or if your service has been rescheduled.
Appropriate attire is required when you appear for jury service. Shorts, shirts with slogans, hats, tank tops, T-shirts and flip-flops are not considered appropriate.
No weapons are allowed in the courthouse and all bags and purses are subect to inspection by security personnel.
Juror Compensation is as follows:
- For the first day or half day of actual attendance at the court, not less than $30 per day and $15 per half-day.
- For each subsequent day or half day of actual attendance at the court, not less than $45 per day and $22.50 per half-day
