With spring officially here, we’re getting pumped for the nicer weather and flourishing greenery that usually comes with the season (not so much the rain, but April showers do bring May flowers). Warmer temperatures, however, mean more fun could be had outdoors. We’re talking about traveling across Macomb County’s many trail networks, eating ice cream at a local parlor, visiting a brewery, winery or even the county’s only distillery ... you name it, we have it!
There are also plenty of events in Macomb County you can attend before summer begins. Including community Memorial Day parades and gatherings, the Center Line Independence Festival in May, Mother’s Day events and more. You can stay updated on activities in the area with the Make Macomb Your Home Events Facebook page.
Want to get some shopping done? Spring kickstarts the opening of farmers markets, as well. Locally crafted goods and produce will line the stalls of many markets from Armada all the way to St. Clair Shores.
If you’re not in the mood to cook at home, you can also enjoy a nice breeze by dining on the water. Harrison Township and St. Clair Shores especially are known for their waterfront dining options, creating a relaxing ambience for all restaurant-goers.
Have we gotten you pumped for the season yet? If not, just you wait until summer.
