Gear up for the 2025 Yokohama Tire Bassmaster Elite at Lake St. Clair

With so much success in the past, Bassmaster Elite is returning to Lake St. Clair for the 2025 Yokohama Tire Bassmaster Elite. Macomb County’s freshwater access is a hot spot for bass fishing and the pro anglers are ready to break records!

Taking place August 7-10 at Brandenburg Park, the tournament will draw in fans from all over. “We’re excited to welcome the Elite Series back to one of the best bass fishing lakes on the planet — Lake St. Clair,” said Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel. “We’re ready to shine the spotlight once again on our incredible freshwater asset to demonstrate that we’ve got a world-class fishery right here in Macomb County. So thank you to all involved for their efforts in making this event possible, and best of luck to all the visiting anglers. I look forward to another successful tournament.”

Anglers will launch at 7 a.m. and return for weigh-ins at 3 p.m.. As the days progress, the field will get cut down from 101 boats to top 50, and finally to the top 10 for Championship Sunday. The angler with the highest total weight will receive a $100,000 prize and the blue trophy.

While anglers can travel to various places around Lake St. Clair, the most popular spot during the tournament is expected to be Anchor Bay. “We’re ready to bring the best of the best in bass fishing back to the shoreline of beautiful Anchor Bay,” said Chesterfield Township Supervisor Bradley Kersten. The bay is home to many smallmouth bass that live and thrive within 8 to 12 feet of water. The competition will be intense and the winning angler will ultimately have to adjust day by day and recognize the changing fishing patterns.

To keep the spectators engaged while awaiting the anglers return for weigh-ins, the 2025 Yokohama Tire Bassmaster Elite at Lake St. Clair will be accompanied by the Cheers to Chesterfield Festival for a weekend full of fun and family-friendly events. Organized by Chesterfield Township, the festival features fireworks, food trucks, a kids zone and more!

So, whether you want to watch the pro anglers launch and start fishing on beautiful Lake St. Clair or indulge in the various food trucks, Cheers to Chesterfield featuring Bassmaster Elite is the place to be for a weekend full of opportunities to make memories with loved ones.
