NTL Industries, located in Macomb County, Michigan, is a precision machining company founded in 2017 by Greg McArthur, a veteran of the CNC and machining world with over 25 years of hands-on experience.
Greg's journey into manufacturing began at just 17 years old when he started helping in his father’s machine shop. However, like many small businesses, the family shop was forced to close during the 2008 economic downturn. Despite the setback, Greg remained committed to the trade. He spent the following years working in a variety of machine shops, both large and small, gaining knowledge, refining his skills, and learning every aspect of the industry.
In 2017, a spontaneous decision sparked a new beginning. Greg placed a bid on a machining tool on eBay and ended up winning. That single purchase marked the launch of NTL Industries.
Starting from the ground up, Greg hustled to find his first clients. He recalls driving around Macomb County, looking for help wanted signs, walking into businesses, and offering his services directly. That entrepreneurial spirit continues to define the company today.
NTL Industries specializes in high-precision components for sectors including aerospace, defense, agriculture, and automation. Their client base includes companies such as Elite Fence, prime Defense contractors, DLA even the Navy. The company is ITAR-registered and AS9100-certified, ensuring compliance and quality at the highest levels.
In 2021, NTL was honored with the SmartZone Best Small Business Award. The recognition continued in 2025 when NTL received both a regional and a national small business award, solidifying its reputation as a rising force in advanced manufacturing.
Today, NTL Industries employs 11 team members and is planning for future growth. With a focus on expanding automation capabilities, the company is preparing to scale while maintaining the quality and commitment that built its foundation.
