Bill Ridella honored with Michigan Dental Association Public Service Award
Dr. David Borlas, DDS, president of the Macomb Dental Society presented Macomb County Health Director Bill Ridella with the Michigan Dental Association Public Service Award.
Bill Ridella (Director of Macomb County Health Department) was instrumental in providing assistance for the 2016 Michigan Mission of Mercy (M.O.M.), which was held in Macomb County. He attended many of the planning meetings and delivered his expertise to the program. His compassion throughout the Michigan Mission of Mercy made it clear that he is constantly thinking about the needs of the community. Bill’s involvement in Macomb does not end at M.O.M. He was a driving force behind the creation of the Macomb Oral Health Coalition which brought together all of the areas of interest in Macomb County to address dental access to care issues and has set up numerous programs as the director of the Macomb County Health Department. For all of these achievements, Bill was recognized with the Michigan Dental Association’s 2017 Public Service Award in April 2017.
