Veteran Burial Benefits

Veterans who have received a discharge other than dishonor able are eligible for certain burial benefits. Each benefit has specific requirements. Our office is here to help you in filing for your benefits

 
Volunteers Needed

Macomb County Veterans Services is seeking volunteers to help veterans and low-income individuals prepare their taxes this tax season.

 

 
Service Connected Disability

A service connect disability is a chronic medical condition that was directly caused during / aggravated by / presumptive by military service or secondary to one that was caused by military service.

 

 
Veteran/Widow Pension Benefits

To be eligible for Veteran Pension Benefits you must have served on active duty for 90 days and at least one of which must have been during a wartime era and “ under other than dishonorable” discharge

 

 
Emergent Need Assistance

To be eligible you must be a resident of Michigan and Macomb County; discharged under honorable conditions; serve 180 days of active wartime service OR have been awarded an expeditionary medal
