Macomb County residents are invited to discover how ornamental grasses and sedges can enhance home landscapes with texture, movement, and year-round visual interest during a free educational program on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Led by MSU Extension educator David Lowenstein, Ph.D., this informative session will explore the advantages of using turf alternatives and highlight low-maintenance plant options that can help diversify and strengthen your landscape. Participants will gain practical knowledge on plant selection, installation, and ongoing care.
Weather permitting, the program will also include a guided outdoor tour of the MSU Extension–Macomb ornamental grasses and sedges garden, offering a firsthand look at these plants.
