Harrison Township, MI – Yesterday evening, August 8, 2026, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Marine Division was dispatched to Lake St. Clair, two to three miles south of the mouth of the South Channel, for a report of an individual who entered the water and had not resurfaced.
The United States Coast Guard and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Marine Division assisted in the search. The MCSO Dive Team was also called to the scene to assist.
The agencies conducted an extensive search throughout the night. MCSO Dive Team operations resumed this morning and remain ongoing.
