Washington Township, MI – Monday, September 22, 2025, at approximately 8:34PM, MCSO Deputies were dispatched to 32 Mile Road just west of M-53, in Washington Township, for a personal injury crash involving a vehicle and 36-year-old male pedestrian. It was reported that the pedestrian had been struck by a blue Ford Escape traveling eastbound on 32 Mile Road.
The driver reported that what she thought was a deer suddenly crashed into her windshield. The driver immediately called 911 and remained at the scene.
It is believed that the pedestrian was crossing 32 Mile Road from North to South when he was struck by the vehicle.
Washington Township Fire Department arrived on scene, began lifesaving measures and transported the pedestrian to a local hospital. The pedestrian remains in critical condition.
Deputies administered a PBT, which the driver blew .000. Additionally, there was also no indication of drugs in the driver’s system. The driver has been cooperative with the MCSO investigation.
Preliminary findings from the MCSO investigation indicate that the driver of the vehicle was not at fault in this incident.
