Mount Clemens, MI – Today, Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham presented his annual Recognition Awards to distinguished members of the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office. These honors are awarded based on exceptional performance and nominations from co-workers. Categories include Lifesaving, Professional Excellence, “Of the Year” Awards, and the Sheriff’s Star Award.
The Sheriff’s Star Award is reserved for individuals who have gone above and beyond their regular duties and have made a significant, lasting impact on the operations of the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to recognizing MCSO personnel, Citizen Awards are also presented to members of the public who have provided invaluable service and support to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office or the residents of Macomb County.
Sheriff Anthony Wickersham expressed his admiration for the honorees, stating, “I look forward to the opportunity to recognize these dedicated, outstanding individuals in front of their coworkers and families. These law enforcement professionals have pledged their professional lives to keeping our communities safe, and they deserve to be recognized for their commitment.”
The recognition was held at the John R. Armstrong Performing Arts Center in Clinton Township. This year’s event was emceed by Simon Shaykhet, of WXYZ, Channel 7 Action News Detroit.
