Mount Clemens, MI – Last week, April 10, 2025, at approximately 3:00AM, Macomb County Sheriff Office (MCSO) Deputies responded to Eldredge Street, near Cass Avenue, in Mount Clemens for a fire at a residence. Suspect Jonathan Brady, 17-years-old, was taken into custody April 10 for his alleged involvement in the incident.
Deputies arrived at the residence to find smoke pouring out of the front porch and a fire inside the home. The victims, including 3 adults and 3 young children, were able to escape the residence without injury.
Mount Clemens Fire Department was able to contain the fire, but the damage was extensive. The MCSO Fire Investigation Unit was called to the scene to investigate as well.
Today Brady was arraigned as an adult on charges of:
Count 1: Home invasion – 1st degree; a 20-year felony
Count 2: Second degree arson; a 20-year felony
Count 3: Explosives – placing near property causing property damage; a 20-year felony
Count 4: Explosives – possession of bombs with unlawful intent – causing property damage; a 20-year felony.
Bond was set at $500,000, cash/surety, no 10%. GPS tether upon release.
The MCSO Detective Bureau continues their active investigation of this incident.
