The Macomb County Office of Senior Services will host its 33rd annual Senior Fun Festival on Thursday, September 19 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.at the Lorenzo Cultural Center located at 44575 Garfield Road in Clinton Township. Recognized as Macomb County’s largest senior expo, the Senior Fun Festival is intended to serve as an opportunity for seniors and caregivers to learn about services and community resources to help enrich their lives.
"The Senior Fun Festival is easily one of my favorite events that I am proud to host with Senior Services each year,” said Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, who will serve as the master of ceremonies for this year’s event. “Macomb County is proud of all the offerings that are available for our seniors and caregivers, and we’re excited to be able to provide an event to share them with our seniors. We’re also incredibly thankful for all our seniors and the important role they have in our county.”
In addition to services and community resources for seniors and caregivers, the event will also feature raffles, entertainment, refreshments and snacks, and swag bags for the first 500 attendees.
“The Senior Fun Festival has grown considerably over the past years and this year will be no different – we’re expecting a large, enthusiastic group of attendees” said Sheila Cote, Macomb County Office of Senior Services director. “Our goal is to help Macomb County residents age in place. So often getting access to just one or two services can help enable a senior to remain in their own home. Services such as Meals on Wheels, home care or transportation services, can make a world of difference for both the senior and their caregiver.”
HEIRitage Law, located in Macomb is the Presenting Sponsor of the 2024 Senior Fun Festival.
