Attorneys may request transcripts for indigent clients. Transcript fees will be covered by the Macomb County Office of Public Defender in the following circumstances:
- An attorney has been appointed by the Macomb County Office of Public Defender and the appointed attorney is requesting the transcript.
- A defendant is facing trial on an adult criminal charge and an Order of Indigency has been entered. Sample Order of Indigency for Transcripts
Transcript requests must be made according to where the case is currently pending.
- If the case is pending in the District Court, use the Request form below and send it to the appropriate District Court reporter, a list of which can be found here: District Court Reporter List
- If the case is in pending in the Circuit Court and you want a transcript of a proceeding that occurred in District Court, including the preliminary exam, then use the form found here: District Court Transcript Request and indicate in the comments that you are appointed by this office.
- If the case is pending in the Circuit Court and you need the transcript of a Circuit Court proceeding, use the request form below and email it to the appropriate Circuit Court reporter, a list of which can be found here: Video Proceedings and Court Transcript Requests
