Warren Woman Arraigned for the Alleged Attempted Murder of Five, Including Two Children

A 27-year-old Warren resident was arraigned in connection with a fire at a Warren residence.

Warren Woman Arraigned for the Alleged Attempted Murder of Five, Including Two Children

Mount Clemens, MI - A 27-year-old Warren resident was arraigned in connection with a fire at a Warren residence.

It is alleged that on Thursday, August 1, 2024, London Elizabeth Johnson set fire to a home she shared with five other people, including two children. It is also alleged that Johnson blocked the two exits from the home.  

 London Elizabeth Johnson was charged with five counts of Attempted Murder, a life felony and one count of Second Degree Arson, a 20 year felony.  Johnson was arraigned in 37 Warren District Court where District Court Judge Steve Bieda set bond at $1 million dollar cash/surety only and if released she must wear a  steel cuff tether. Johnson was also referred to Community Corrections for a mental health screening   A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 8:45 am.

"By allegedly setting fire to the home, the defendant not only endangered the lives of the five occupants but also put the entire community at risk. We will pursue justice for the victims and hold her accountable for her actions," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
