Mount Clemens, MI - In June 2024, a Macomb County jury convicted 26-year-old Matthew Siladke of Child Abuse in the First Degree (life felony) after a six -week jury trial by Assistant Prosecutors Colleen Worden and Lisa Lozen.  Yesterday, he was sentenced to 84 to 300 months at the Michigan Department of Corrections by Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Julie Gatti.

On multiple dates in July 2021, Matthew Siladke injured his five week old baby girl causing multiple injuries including a biparietal skull fracture, over 20 rib fractures, a displaced femur fracture, neck injuries and brain injuries.

“This sentence reflects the gravity of the harm inflicted on his child and ensures that justice is served. We hope this verdict sends a clear message that such acts of brutality will not be tolerated in our community,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
