Warren Man Arraigned for Conducting Criminal Enterprises for Stealing Vehicles Out of Warren and Washington Twp.

Mount Clemens, MI - A 24-year-old Warren man has been arraigned on multiple charges in three open cases in connection with stealing motor vehicles in Macomb County.
It is alleged that from August 2023 through February 2024, Deon Charleston Brooks stole vehicles from Serra Cadillac and Heidebreicht Chevrolet in Washington Twp. He was charged with Conducting a Criminal Enterprise, a 20-year felony, Unlawful Driving Away a Motor Vehicle, a five-year felony, and three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Unlawful Driving Away a Motor Vehicle, five-year felonies. He was arraigned in 42-1 Romeo District Court where District Court Judge Jennifer Andary set a $100,000 personal bond. A Preliminary Exam is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm
On February 29, 2024, Brooks is alleged to have stolen a vehicle from Heidebreicht Chevrolet in Washington Twp. He fled the scene and refused to pull over when police officers attempted a traffic stop. Officers deployed stop sticks and stopped the vehicle. Brooks allegedly fled on foot but was later arrested. Brooks was charged with Unlawful Driving Away a Motor Vehicle, a five-year felony, Conspiracy to Commit Unlawful Driving Away a Motor Vehicle, a five-year felony, Fleeing Police Officer in the Fourth Degree, a two-year felony, and Assaulting / Resisting / Obstructing a Police Officer, a two-year felony. He was arraigned in 42-1 Romeo District Court where District Court Judge Jennifer Andary set a $100,000 personal bond. A Preliminary Exam is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm
It is alleged that on February 3, 2025, Brooks stole vehicles from GM on 11 Mile in Warren. He was charged with Conducting a Criminal Enterprise, a 20-year felony. He was arraigned in 37 Warren District Court where District Court Judge Steve Bieda set bond at $2,000,000. If bond is posted Brooks is to wear a GPS tether and have no contact with GM. A Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 8:45 am.

With multiple cases involving stolen vehicles and two counts of conducting a criminal enterprise—our office is committed to ensuring that justice is served and that those who exploit our communities for personal gain are held accountable," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
