On Friday, December 20, 2024 it is alleged that Hollie Stange and Amanda Carroll were in Carroll’s vehicle smoking marijuana at a plaza near the corner of 9 Mile Rd. and Ryan Rd. within 1,000 feet of school grounds.  The two women left in separate vehicles.  A traffic stop was conducted by Warren Police Officers on Stange and Carroll and it was determined that both women were allegedly under the influence.  After further investigation a weapon was found in Stange’s vehicle.

Stange was charged with the following:

  • Possession of Marijuana on School Grounds, a two year high court misdemeanor
  • Possession of a Weapon in a Weapon Free Zone, a 93-day misdemeanor
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, a 93-day misdemeanor

Stange was arraigned on Monday, December 23, 2024 in Warren District Court where visiting Judge David Draper set bond at $5,000 cash/surety which was already posted over the weekend.  Bond conditions include no contact with the school or school grounds unless directed to do so by the school board or for child pickup.  No use of alcohol or drugs with random testing twice a week.  No possession or use of any firearms and limited contact with the co-defendant.

"This is deeply concerning and violates the trust our community places in these school administrators," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. "Driving under the influence and possessing drugs near school grounds is not only unlawful but also puts the safety of our children at risk. As individuals entrusted with the well-being of Macomb County's children, we will take all necessary legal steps to ensure accountability," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
