Two Detroit Men Arraigned for Allegedly Stealing Over Two Dozen Vehicles from Dealerships
Mount Clemens, MI - Two men have been charged and arraigned in connection with an auto theft ring hitting numerous auto dealerships in the metro Detroit area.
It is alleged that from June 2024 through November 2024, David Pierre Franklin, age 41, and Barron Stanley Hatcher, Jr., age 24, were part of a group responsible for stealing over two dozen vehicles from multiple auto dealerships across metro Detroit. The group is allegedly responsible for over a million dollars in lost property.
Franklin and Hatcher were charged with Conducting a Criminal Enterprise, a 20-year felony, and Possession of Burglar’s Tools, a ten-year felony. Franklin is also being charged as a habitual fourth offender which may increase his penalty.
Both men were arraigned in 37th Warren District Court by District Court Judge Steven Bieda. Judge Bieda set bond for Franklin at $1,000,000 cash/surety. A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 8:45 am in front of District Court Judge Michael Chupa. Judge Bieda set bond for Hatcher at $500,000 cash/surety. A Macomb County Circuit Court Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025, at 1:30 pm in front of Circuit Court Judge Matthew Sabaugh.
