Mount Clemens, MI -  A 62-year-old Livonia man was arraigned in connection with watching pornography in a classroom with children.

It is alleged that on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Francesco Iaquinta while substitute teaching at Academy of Warren for the first time, watched pornography while in the classroom with children while touching himself.

Iaquinta was charged with Distributing Sexually Explicit, Visual or Verbal Matter to Children, a two year felony, and Obscene Disorderly Conduct, a 90-day misdemeanor.

The defendant was arraigned in 37th Warren District Court where District Court Judge Michael Chupa set bond at $25,000 cash/surety.  A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 8:45am.

"As a trusted educator, the defendant had a responsibility to provide a safe and focused learning environment for students. Instead, he violated that trust. This behavior is unacceptable, and we are committed to pursuing justice to ensure that such misconduct has no place in our schools," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
