Mt. Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that a 30-year-old Lake Orion woman was arraigned on 18 felonies related to the allegations of her running down at least 11 people with her vehicle, while her young daughter was with her.
It is alleged that on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, Warren police responded to multiple calls related to people being struck by a black Jeep. The driver of the vehicle is alleged to be Rachele Ricklefs, who had her six-year-old child with her. She intentionally drove her vehicle into 10 individuals and one police officer. There are additional victims who are not identified at this time. Ricklefs was stopped in the parking lot of Walmart at 29176 Van Dyke after she drove into two people loading groceries into their vehicles. She resisted arrest but was taken into custody. Earlier the same evening, Clawson police encountered Ricklefs. At that time, her 12-year-old son escaped out of vehicle and Ricklefs fled, hitting two Clawson police vehicles in the process.
On Monday, September 29, 2025, Ricklefs was arraigned in the 37th District Court in Warren, MI before Judge Edward Servitto. Ricklefs was arraigned on the following charges:
10 COUNTS: Assault with Intent to Murder, each a life or any term of years felony
2 COUNTS: Police Officer – Fleeing – Third Degree – Vehicle Code, each a 5-year felony
2 COUNTS: Malicious Destruction of Fire or Police Property, each a 4-year felony
2 COUNTS: Malicious Destruction of Personal Property, each a 5-year felony
1 COUNT: Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, a 4-year felony
1 COUNT: Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing, a 2-year felony
1 COUNT: Child Abuse – 4th Degree, a 1-year misdemeanor
Judge Servitto set Ricklefs’ bond at $750,000 cash/surety, no 10%. If released, she must wear a GPS tether, have no contact with any complaining witness, and will be subject to house arrest.
Ricklefs is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025 and a Preliminary Exam on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025 at the 37th District Court in Warren before Judge Suzanne Faunce.
