The emails referenced and were directed to Judge Faunce. The language of the emails was disjointed, however words including “shot to death,” “all dead mass killed,” “all mass murdered,” and “die die die” were used. Sherman Faunce, is a former Warren District Court judge.

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, Tolonen was arraigned in the 39th District Court in Roseville, MI before Judge Kathleen E. Tocco on the following charges:

  • Computers – Using to Commit a Crime, 7-year felony
  • Unlawful Posting of Message with Aggravating Circumstances, 5-year felony

These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date.

Judge Tocco set a $500,000 cash/surety bond. If Tolonen posts bond and is released, he must wear a GPS tether and comply with the following conditions: no use of internet or computer, no weapons, no contact with the Faunce family or any of Judge Faunce’s staff, no drugs or alcohol and must not leave the State of Michigan.
