Washington Township man charged on multiple counts of aggravated possession of child porn, using a computer to commit a crime

Mount Clemens, Ml - Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Frederik Stolaj, a 21-year-old Washington Township man, was arraigned on multiple counts of Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material and Using a Computer to Commit a Crime.

It is alleged that when Troy Police were investigating the March 20, 2025, shooting in the Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital's parking structure, they came into possession of Stoiaj's cellphone. An examination of the device revealed it contained images of child sexually abusive materials. 

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Stolaj was arraigned in the 42-1 District Court in Romeo, MI before Judge Jennifer A. Andary on the following charges:

Counts 1-3 -Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material - each a 10-year felony

Counts 4-6 - Using a Computer to Commit a Crime - each a 10-year felony

These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date.

Judge Andary set a $100,000 cash bond, no 10%. If released, Stolaj must wear a GPS tether and can have no contact with anyone under the age of 18. A Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the 42-1 District Court.

The evidence gathered in this case indicates the possession of disturbing and illegal material that exploits and harms vulnerable children. Our office is committed to protecting the most defenseless members of our community, and we will pursue justice with the full weight of the law," said Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
