Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 42-year-old Andrew Roberts, of Warren, pleaded no contest to False Report or Threat of Terrorism, a 20-year felony; Aggravated Stalking, a 5-year felony; and Habitual Offender – Fourth Offense Notice, an aggravating sentencing factor. The charges stem from an October 2025 incident in which Roberts allegedly used a computer to issue threats involving a Warren police officer, the Warren Police Department, and Warren District Court Judge Suzanne Faunce.
As part of the plea, Roberts resolved three other cases pending against him. The first case stems from Roberts allegedly publishing the same threats on a second social media site, resulting in charges mirroring those in the Warren case. The second case involved misdemeanor charges of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime and Malicious Use of a Communication Device. The third arose from his alleged resistance and obstruction when officers took him into custody in connection with the Warren threats.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the scheduled date for arraignment before Richard L. Caretti in Macomb County Circuit Court, Roberts entered his no contest plea to the charges. In exchange, the remaining cases will be dismissed at sentencing.
Roberts is scheduled to be sentenced before Judge Caretti on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Justin Pollard represented the People at the hearing.
“Posting threats is not an idle act; it carries real and serious consequences. Threats against judges and law enforcement officers will not be tolerated, as they erode public trust in the institutions that uphold justice and safety. As evidenced by this case, such charges are pursued aggressively and result in significant penalties,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office represents the People. We are committed to achieving justice and following the laws of the State of Michigan. All individuals who are accused of a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
