Warren man convicted as charged on ten felonies related to shooting and high-speed fleeing and eluding

Mount Clemens, Mich. – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that a Macomb County jury convicted 25-year-old Antoine Paige, Jr., of Warren, on all charges, including ten felony offenses. The convictions include two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder, each punishable by up to life in prison.

Paige’s 4-day jury trial began on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, before the Honorable Rachel Rancilio of the Macomb County Circuit Court. On Friday, July 17, 2026, after two hours of deliberation, the jury returned its verdict of guilty as charged on the following counts:

• Two Counts - Assault with Intent to Murder, a life or any term of years felony
• Weapons - Firearms - Possession by a Prohibited Person, a 5-year felony
• Weapons -Ammunition - Possession by a Prohibited Person, a 5-year felony
• Carrying a Concealed Weapon, a 5-year felony
• Three Counts - Weapons - Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony consecutive to main charge
• Police Officer – Fleeing – Third-Degree – Vehicle Code, a 5-year felony
• Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing, a 2-year felony

Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys Steve Fox and Carmen Ranken prosecuted the case on behalf of the People.

“Today’s verdict reflects the seriousness of these offenses and the accountability that comes with putting public safety at risk through violent criminal conduct,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “My office will continue to aggressively pursue justice for victims and hold those who commit violent crimes accountable. We are committed to working with our law enforcement partners to protect the residents of Macomb County and keep dangerous offenders off our streets.”

On December 14, 2025, Paige fired multiple handgun shots at his cousin and her boyfriend, wounding the cousin in the shoulder. When officers contacted him in a vehicle, Paige ignored lawful commands and fled, leading police from Eastpointe and St. Clair Shores on a high-speed pursuit exceeding 120 mph on eastbound I-94. The chase ended after his vehicle crashed on North River Road, and following a multi-agency search, Paige was found hiding in a canal beneath a dock and taken into custody. 

Paige will be sentenced by Judge Rancilio on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The sentencing guidelines recommend incarceration ranging from 270 months to 900 months/ life, plus two years consecutive for felony firearm.
