Warren man bound over on 10 felonies related to alleged shooting and high-speed fleeing and eluding

Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 25-year-old Antoine Paige, Jr. was bound over for trial on multiple felony charges related to a shooting and police chase.

On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, Paige’s Preliminary Exam was held before Judge Kathleen G. Galen in the 38th District Court in Eastpointe, MI. At the end of the hearing, Judge Galen ruled that sufficient evidence exists to bind Paige over for trial on all counts. Paige is in custody at the Macomb County Jail on a $1 million cash/surety, no 10% bond. Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Nicholas Davis represented the People. 

Paige was bound over on the following charges:

  • Two Counts - Assault with Intent to Murder, a life or any term of years felony
  • Weapons - Firearms - Possession by a Prohibited Person, a 5-year felony
  • Weapons -Ammunition - Possession by a Prohibited Person, a 5-year felony
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon, a 5-year felony
  • Three Counts - Weapons - Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony consecutive to main charge
  • Police Officer – Fleeing – Third-Degree – Vehicle Code, a 5-year felony
  • Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing, a 2-year felony

Paige has a Habitual Offender – Fourth Offense Notice. This is an aggravating sentencing factor which may result in a sentence of life in prison. 

Paige will be arraigned before Judge Rachel Rancilio at the Macomb County Circuit Court in Mount Clemens, MI on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 1:30 p.m.

It is alleged that on December 14, 2025, Paige allegedly fired multiple handgun shots at his cousin and her boyfriend, wounding the cousin in the shoulder. When officers contacted him in a vehicle, Paige reportedly ignored lawful commands and fled, leading police from Eastpointe and St. Clair Shores on a high-speed pursuit exceeding 120 mph on eastbound I-94. The chase ended after his vehicle crashed on North River Road, and following a multi-agency search, Paige was found hiding in a canal beneath a dock and taken into custody. 

“These allegations are extremely serious and, if true, put multiple lives at risk. Gun crime and fleeing from law enforcement will not be tolerated in Macomb County. My office remains committed to pursuing justice and protecting the safety of our community,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
