Warren man arraigned on multiple counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material

Mount Clemens, MI - Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced Michael Cristini, a 61-year-old Warren man, was arraigned on multiple counts of Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material and other serious offenses.

It is alleged that on or about Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Cristini possessed and shared multiple images of child sexually abusive material.

On Friday, August 1, 2025, Cristini was arraigned in the 37th District Court in Warren, MI before Judge Steven Bieda on the following charges:

  • Three (3) counts of Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material. Each charge is a 10-year felony
  • Three (3) counts of Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material. Each charge is a 4-year felony
  • Three (3) counts of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime (related to Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material). Each charge is a 10-year felony
  • Three (3) counts of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime (related to Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material). Each charge is 7-year felony
  • Habitual Offender – 2nd Offense Notice, an aggravating sentencing factor

These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date.

Judge Bieda set a $500,000 cash/surety bond. If Cristini posts bond and is released, he must wear a GPS tether and comply with the following conditions: no use of internet or computer, no weapons, no drugs or alcohol with random testing and must not leave the State of Michigan. 

A Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 8:45 am, and a Preliminary Exam is set for Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 8:45 am, both before Judge Bieda at the 37th District Court in Warren, MI.

Aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material is not only deeply criminal—it is profoundly harmful to victims, and we will treat it as such. We are committed to securing a conviction that reflects the severity of this conduct and to doing everything within our authority to protect children from this kind of abuse,” said Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
