Warren man arraigned on Assault with Intent to Murder charge

Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 31-year-old Jordan Curtis, of Warren, was arraigned on an Assault with Intent to Murder charge related to the alleged stabbing of his ex-wife’s fiancé. 

It is alleged that on Saturday, February 7, 2026, Curtis went to his ex-wife’s residence to pick up their children. Her fiancé went outside to speak with him. Curtis allegedly stabbed the man multiple times. 

On Monday, February 9, 2026, Curtis was arraigned before Judge John Chmura in the 37th District Court in Warren, MI on a charge of Assault with Intent to Murder, a felony punishable by life or any term of years.

Judge Chmura set Curtis’s bond at $500,000 cash/surety only. If released, he must wear a GPS tether. Curtis was ordered to have no contact with the complaining witnesses, the children or their home. 

Curtis is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference on Thursday, February 19, 2026, and a Preliminary Exam on Thursday, February 26, 2026, both at 8:45 a.m. before Judge Steven Bieda at the 37th District Court in Warren, MI. 

“Domestic disputes cannot be settled with violence, and such conduct will be met with swift accountability under the law. Macomb County will not stand for such acts, and my office will pursue justice to ensure public safety,” said County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
