Mount Clemens, MI – Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced today that Joshua Dismuke, a 17-year-old Warren juvenile, was arraigned as an adult on multiple charges including Assault with Intent to Murder related to a shooting that took place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 in Eastpointe, MI.
It is alleged that Dismuke shot a young man at a residence where Dismuke and other individuals gathered to make a music video. After the shooting, Dismuke and others fled the scene.
After carefully examining all the available evidence including the severity of the allegations, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido decided to charge Dismuke as an adult.
An arraignment was held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the 38th District Court in Eastpointe, MI before Judge Kathleen Galen. Dismuke was charged with the following:
Count 1: Assault with Intent to Murder, a life or any number of years felony
Count 2: Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, consecutive to main charge
Count 3: Weapons – Firearms – Discharging in or at a Building, a 10-year felony
Count 4: Tampering with Evidence – Criminal Case Punishable by More than 10 Years, a 10-year felony
Count 5: Weapons – Carrying Concealed, a five-year felony
Count 6: Weapons – Firearms – Larceny, a 5-year felony
Count 7: Lying to a Peace Officer – Violent Crime Investigation, a 4-year felony
Count 8: Police Officer – Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing, a 2-year felony
Count 9: Weapons – Firearms – Possession by a Minor in Public, a 90-day misdemeanor
Judge Galen set bond at $1,00,000 cash. Dismuke will continue to be detained at the Juvenile Justice Center in Mt. Clemens, MI. If he is able to post bond, Dismuke must be placed on a GPS tether, have no contact with the victim, have no firearms, and no use of alcohol or non-prescription drugs.
A Probable Cause Conference for Dismuke is set for Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm before Judge Galen at the 38th District Court in Eastpointe, MI.
"While the defendant is a juvenile, the charges, particularly assault with intent to murder, are extremely serious, and the decision to charge him as an adult reflects the gravity of the offense. Our responsibility is to seek justice for the victim and ensure accountability, regardless of the age of the offender. We recognize that this is a tragic situation all around, but our priority is supporting the victim and making clear that acts of violence will have serious consequences,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
