Two men arraigned on multiple felonies, including armed robbery and home invasion, each held on $1 million bond

Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Dwayne Lewis, Jr., 29, of Detroit, and Davon Loveings, 35, of Pittsburg, PA, were arraigned on multiple felony charges stemming from an alleged armed robbery and home invasion. 

It is alleged that on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Lewis and Loveings robbed a man at gunpoint inside his apartment in Warren, MI. The victim was allegedly restrained and struck in the head with a handgun during the incident.

Officers with the Warren Police Department responded to the reported armed robbery and attempted to stop the alleged suspects, who were traveling in a black Chevrolet Malibu. The driver of the Malibu allegedly fled from police.

It is further alleged that after locating the vehicle, officers followed it until the passenger, Lewis, exited and attempted to flee on foot. He was quickly apprehended and taken into custody. Loveings also allegedly attempted to exit the vehicle but was taken into custody without incident.

On Friday, June 12, 2026, Lewis and Loveings were arraigned before Judge Suzanne Faunce in the 37th District Court in Warren, MI. The men are charged with the following offenses:

• Robbery – Armed, a felony punishable by life or any term of years
• Home Invasion – First-Degree, a 20-year felony
• Unlawful Imprisonment, a 15-year felony
• Weapons – Firearms Possession by a Prohibited Person, a 5-year felony
• Weapons – Carrying Concealed, a 5-year felony
• Four counts of Weapons Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony consecutive to related charge.

Loveings also has a Habitual Offender – Third Offense Notice, an aggravating sentencing factor allowing the maximum sentence to be increased to as much as double the normal maximum.

Lewis is additionally charged with 

• Police Officer – Fleeing – Third Degree – Vehicle Code, a 5-year felony
• An additional Felony Firearm Charge, a 2-year felony consecutive to related charge.

Lewis also has a Habitual Offender – Second Offense Notice, an aggravating sentencing factor allowing the maximum sentence to be increased by up to 50%. 

These are the maximum charges available under the law based on the evidence presented to date.

"Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home and community. The allegations in this case involve serious acts of violence and intimidation that threatened both. Armed robbery and home invasion are among the most serious offenses we prosecute because they put lives at risk and undermine public safety. My office will continue working to hold violent offenders accountable and keep our communities safe,"  stated Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

Judge Faunce set bond for each man at $1,000,000 cash or surety with a GPS steel cuff tether if either defendant is able to post bond. She also ordered Lewis and Loveings to have no contact with the victim.

Both men are scheduled to appear at a Probable Cause Conference before Judge John M. Chmura at the 37th District Court on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
