Two juveniles bound over as adults on Assault with Intent to Murder, other felonies related to shooting in Wendy’s parking lot

Mount Clemens, Mich. – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 16-year-old Rayonnate Steen, Jr. and 15-year-old Isaiah Reynolds, both from Detroit, were bound over as charged on felonies related to a non-fatal shooting that took place in the parking lot of a Wendy’s in Eastpointe, Michigan on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The juveniles are charged as adults.

On Friday, August 28, 2026, a Preliminary Exam was held for Steen and Reynolds before Judge Kathleen G. Galen in the 38th District Court in Eastpointe, Michigan. Both defendants were bound over as charged.

Steen is charged with:

• Assault with Intent to Murder, a felony punishable by any term of years up to life
• Weapons – Felony Firearm, a 2-year felony, consecutive to main charge
• Weapons – Dangerous Weapon – Carrying with Unlawful Intent, a 5-year felony
• Malicious Destruction of Personal Property - $200 or more but less than $1,000, a 1-year misdemeanor.

Reynolds is charged with:

• Assault with Intent to Murder, a felony punishable by any term of years up to life
• Weapons – Carrying Concealed, a 5-year felony.

These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date.

“The allegations against these juveniles are extremely serious. We will continue to pursue accountability and justice in this case,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

Steen and Reynolds will be arraigned before Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Jennifer M. Faunce on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.
