Sterling Heights man arraigned on serious charges, including Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity

Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 22-year-old David Boxley, of Sterling Heights, MI, was arraigned on felony charges related to child sexually abusive materials.

It is alleged that in February 2026, Boxley communicated with a minor for an immoral purpose. He also followed a different minor on social media and, through the app, asked her to direct message him. After investigation and pursuant to a search warrant, Warren Police searched Moxley’s telephone resulting in charges. 

On Thursday, March 12, 2026, Boxley was arraigned before visiting Judge Thomas Brookover in the 37th District Court in Warren, MI. Boxley was arraigned on the following charges:

  • Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity, a 25-year felony
  • Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material, a 10-year felony
  • Computers – Using to Commit a Crime – Maximum Imprisonment of 4 Years but Less Than 10 Years, a 7-year felony
  • Children – Accosting for Immoral Purposes, a 4-year felony
  • Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material, a 4-year felony

Judge Brookover set Boxley’s bond at $150,000 cash/surety/10%. If released, he must wear a GPS tether. Boxley is not permitted to use the internet or have possession of telecommunication devices.

Boxley is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference before Judge Suzanne Faunce at the 37th District Court on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 8:45 a.m.
