Mt. Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 26-year-old Bradley Allen, of Sterling Heights, MI, was arraigned on charges of animal torture and cruelty.
It is alleged that on Friday, February 20, 2026, Allen struck a dog with a leash three times and hit the dog in its face approximately six times.
On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Allen was arraigned in the 41A District Court in Sterling Heights, MI before Magistrate Jean M. Cloud. Allen was arraigned on the following charges:
- Animals – Killing/Torturing – Third Degree, a 4-year felony
- Animals – Abandoning/Cruelty to One Animal, a 93-day misdemeanor
Magistrate Cloud set Allen’s bond at $7,500 cash/surety/10%. If released, he can have no contact, possession or ownership of any animal that can be considered a pet.
Allen is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference before Judge Eric D. Shepherd at the 41A District Court on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

“It is deeply concerning when defenseless animals are denied the compassion they depend on. They rely entirely on humans for their well-being. When credible allegations of abuse or torture arise, my office has a responsibility to pursue charges and seek justice—and we will fulfill that responsibility.”
