Roseville mother arraigned on Fourth-Degree Child Abuse charges

Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that 32-year-old Amber Criner, of Roseville, was arraigned on child abuse charges stemming from videos that circulated on social media. It is alleged that, in each of the videos, Criner can be seen hitting a child.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Criner was arraigned before Judge Kathleen E. Tocco in the 39th District Court in Roseville, MI. Criner is charged with two counts of Child Abuse – Fourth Degree, each a one-year misdemeanor.

These are the maximum charges available under the law based on the evidence presented to date.

Judge Tocco set a $50,000 cash/surety/10% bond for Criner. She is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference before Judge Joseph F. Boedeker at the 39th District Court on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
