Mount Clemens, MI – Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced Daniel Jansen, a 19-year-old from Roseville, MI, was arraigned on charges of Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity, Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, and Second-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct of a Person Under 13 Years of Age.
On Monday, March 2, 2026, Jansen was arraigned before Judge Alyia Marie Hakim at the 39th District Court in Roseville, MI. Judge Hakim set Jansen’s bond at $1 million, cash/surety only, no 10%. If he posts bond, he must wear a GPS tether and he can have no contact with the complaining victim or anyone under the age of 17. Jansen is scheduled for a Probable Cause Conference before Judge Hakim on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office initiated its investigation into Jansen following a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Jansen is charged with the following:
- Two counts of Aggravated Child Sexually Abusive Activity. Each charge is a felony, punishable by 25 years in prison.
- Two counts of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime (maximum imprisonment of 20 years or more). This charge is a felony, punishable by 20 years in prison, with possible consecutive sentences of underlying conviction.
- One count of Criminal Sexual Conduct – Second Degree (Person under 13, Defendant 17 years of Age or Older), a felony punishable by 15 years in prison.
These are the maximum charges available under the law based upon the evidence presented to date.
“The defendant is charged with the alleged creation of child sexually abusive material, using a computer to commit a crime, and the sexual assault of a minor—offenses that cause deep and lasting harm to children. While these remain allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty, our office is committed to seeking justice and protecting the well-being of the minor involved,” stated Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
